Financial controller, shipping (Moscow/Dubai)

A shipping company that provides international transportation services is looking for a Financial Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Interact directly with the technical managers of the vessels on the volumes of work and control the work budgets and costs
• Check the invoices provided by the technical manages to make sure all the services are provided in accordance with plans of work and budgets
• Work closely with accounting team to make sure all the invoices and supporting documents are provided correctly and paid in time
• Implement effective cost control measures for fuel, maintenance, dry-docking, insurance, and other operational expenses.
• Monitor and manage operational budgets, ensuring effective cost control, especially in areas related to vessel operations, maintenance, and crew costs.
• Analyze financial performance related to the oil tanker fleet.

Requirements:

• 5–7 years of financial management experience, preferably within the shipping, logistics, or oil & gas industries.
• Track record of managing budgets, financial forecasting, and cost control in a complex operational environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manipulate large sets of financial data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
