Main area of responsibility:
- Seek guidance and opportunities for professional development in teaching, so as to provide the best possible support.
- Monitor and meet the personal needs of students around the school. EAL staff must actively help these students thrive within our community, as they develop their language skills.
- Liaise with other leaders - including class teacher, EAL coordinator, SMT, playground coordinator, and specialist teachers - to ensure that the needs of students are supported.
- Contribute to the development of Action Plans and to the fulfilment of any relevant points they contain.
- Meet and collaborate with parents to meet the personal and learning needs of the pupils to the highest possible extent.
