Academic Director

Central Asian University is seeking an inspiring and experienced Academic Director to join our leadership team — a visionary who will shape the university’s academic strategy, enhance the quality of education, and foster a strong culture of academic excellence.

This is a key leadership position focused on the strategic development of academic programs, faculty support, and the advancement of innovation in teaching and learning. We are looking for a professional capable of uniting academic and administrative teams around shared goals — quality, growth, and international recognition.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the university’s academic strategy in collaboration with senior leadership.

• Oversee faculties, academic programs, and curricula to ensure compliance with international standards.

• Manage core academic processes — planning, teaching workload, and quality assurance.

• Support faculty development and strengthen academic leadership across the university.

• Promote innovative teaching methods, digital tools, and practice-oriented learning formats.

• Represent the university on national and international academic platforms, forums, and conferences.

• Liaise with the Ministry of Higher Education of Uzbekistan and other governmental bodies on matters of accreditation, certification, and educational policy development.

Candidate Profile

• Proven leadership experience in higher education (Dean, Deputy Dean, Head of Department, Program Director, etc.).

• Advanced academic qualification — Master’s degree or preferably PhD.

• Experience working with government bodies or Ministries of Education is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of international educational standards and accreditation frameworks.

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• Advanced level of English proficiency.

• Experience working in an international academic environment is highly desirable.
