Chief Accountan

Regional Finance Controller & Chief Accountant Russia & CIS

This role will be responsible for managing the accounting department and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting department, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operation;
• Coordinate reporting processes on a monthly and annual basis, adhering to financial policies;
• Ensure compliance with Russian accounting rules and regulations for record keeping;
• Ensure timely and complete reflection of accounting transactions;
• Participate in the preparation of internal accounts at month-end, following reporting rules and company policies;
• Safeguard accounting records and ensure their integrity;
• Participate in the annual audit process;
• Contribute to the development and updating of internal policies and procedures;
• Manage and lead employees within the accounting department;
• Select, motivate, and develop assigned employees;
• Ensure adherence to internal rules and regulations by providing oversight and direction to employees;
• Provide training, development, and ongoing coaching to employees as needed.

Requirements:

• Higer education with a degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field;
• Minimum of three years of experience as a Chief Accountant;
• Excellent leadership competencies and supervisory skills with experience managing a team (at least five employees);
• Experience in Finance Controlling is preferable;
• Proficient in using accounting programs commonly used in Russia & CIS, with strong SAP knowledge;
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and teamwork skills;
• Fluent in English;
• Demonstrated ability to handle stress and meet tight deadlines;
• Strong focus on achieving results. ​​
