Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- As part of Netcracker Cloud Platform, develop variety of cloud backend applications and services.
- Design and implement complex elements of cloud architecture; participate in architecture discussions and sessions.
- Work with major cloud providers to build expertise across public clouds and micro-service architecture.
- Owns cloud expertise and closely with stakeholders to build highly available and reliable cloud solutions.
- Contribute to open source 3rd party products.
Experience and Requirements (we would expect 60/70% experience from this list)
- One or several of the following languages: Go, Java, Python
- Good understanding of PaaS, SaaS models
- Experience in micro-service development and cloud-based architecture patterns;
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and design/architecture patterns
- Knowledge and experience in development applications on top of Kubernetes and Openshift;
- Knowledge and experience in management of containerized applications: Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker, public Kubernetes engines (Azure, Google, AWS).
- Understanding of Continuous Delivery and DevOps methods;
Will be of advantage to have any of the following competences:
- Knowledge of Operator framework;
- Knowledge about how to manage and troubleshoot clouds.
- Knowledge of Public Cloud providers and their managed services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MongoDB, OpenSearch, Cassandra)
- Knowledge of queues and streaming platform (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Debezium)
- Helm and DevOps practices
- Be familiar with Linux architecture and Linux administration principles
