We are a small but growing startup specializing in high-end, personalized meal plans. We deliver across the UAE with our operations located in Dubai. Our mission is to provide our clients with exceptional culinary experiences tailored to their dietary needs and preferences. Like their personal chef, but at our kitchen.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Operations Manager to join our team. As a critical member of our small team, you will oversee all operational aspects of our business, including meal planning and scheduling, kitchen operations, deliveries, and supply management. This is a unique opportunity to shape and scale operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meal Planning and Scheduling:
    Oversee the weekly meal planning process, ensuring client preferences (dietary restrictions, nutritional needs) and business goals are met. Work closely with the kitchen team to schedule meal prep and delivery, maintaining high standards of quality and timing. Together with other team members work on the automation of this function.
  • Kitchen Operations:
    Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including supervising two cooks, optimizing workflow, and implementing best practices for food safety and quality control.
  • Delivery Coordination:
    Organize and streamline the delivery process to ensure meals reach clients on time and in perfect condition. Manage communication with delivery personnel, troubleshoot delivery issues, and continuously improve the delivery experience.
  • Supply Chain and Inventory Management:
    Monitor inventory levels and manage supplier relationships to ensure the kitchen is stocked with fresh, high-quality ingredients, consumables are in place and all the equipment meets the cooking demands. Negotiate with vendors, track costs, and minimize waste. Optimize this process to make it as automated and cost-efficient as possible.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    Track key performance metrics, prepare operational reports, and provide insights to the CEO/Founder. Use data to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with a similar role in the food service or meal delivery industry.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations, meal planning, and scheduling.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a small team.
  • Experience with supply chain and inventory management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a startup environment.
  • Background in culinary arts or nutrition is a plus.
  • Familiarity with software tools for scheduling, inventory management, and customer communication.
  • Established connections with food suppliers in the UAE
