As the Head of Social Media Marketing (SMM), you will oversee and lead the efforts of the SMM department, which consists of SMM managers, designers, and copywriters spread across multiple countries. You will be responsible for building and executing a cohesive social media strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives while tailoring approaches to each local market.

You will have a proven track record in leading cross-functional teams in social media marketing, strong knowledge of social media trends, and a deep understanding of how to drive engagement across diverse social media platforms in both Africa and Southeast Asia.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement global social media strategy aligned with business goals

  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to support product launches, events, and other marketing initiatives

  • Adopt and implement an audience-first approach to create compelling, multi-platform social media content that meets users at the right stage of their journey.

  • Establish objectives and key results (OKRs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on the effectiveness of social media efforts

  • Leads the social media team setting the vision, workflow and best practices that drive growth, engagement, and brand perception across all social platforms in key locations

  • Identify and implement data-driven approach in social media strategy

  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance using external social media tools and native platform analytics.

  • Oversee a team of social media managers and creators, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

What we expect:

  • At least 5 years of experience in social media strategy, planning, execution and management.

  • Proficient with social media platforms and best practices (YouTube, TikTok, Telegram, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Able to “speak the language” of the various creatives on the team (understands video editing, filming, design, audio editing, and copywriting)

  • Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas

  • Familiarity with industry-specific trends in finance and investment on social media.

  • Agency experience will be an advantage.
