We are looking for an inspired engineer to be a part of our Algorithms and Modelling team. You will be responsible to maintain, modify, define and implement architecture for 4G/LTE, 5G System Level Simulator.

What will you do:

  • Implement on C++ different parts of System Level Simulator, including functional blocks, blocks defined in 3GPP standard, pieces of L2/L3 algorithms.
  • Work close with implementation teams and algorithms R&D to define which blocks should be implemented in simulator.
  • Perform technical analysis on features in release to prioritize Simulator blocks priority development.
  • Deep dive in L2+ (MAC-PS, Power allocation, Link adaptation, Handover, etc.) algorithms.
  • Create specification for developed Simulator blocks.
  • Align Simulator with 3GPP updates.
  • Participate in code review for Simulator.

What do we expect from a future team member:

  • Master or above in computer science, telecommunications or related.
  • High level knowledge of LTE/5G or one of modern wireless transmission protocols.
  • Experience in implementation of any layer in OSI model.
  • 3+ years experiences on programming in C++;
  • Verbal communication and fluent writing skills in English and Russian languages;
  • Proactive and independent problem solving through own experience and network;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in distributed teams.

Preferred skills:

  • Background in SW architecture/specification work for telecom/wireless;
  • Background in communications theory, mathematical statistics and probability theory will be a big plus;
