Job Description

a. Monitor relevant information sources on a daily basis for the purposes of addressing the issues within the office or escalation of issues upwards

b. Support academic administration area development, including student performance and admission

c. Engage with staff members to ensure smooth operation of the office

d. Ensure record keeping, assessment administration, admission and enrolment processes are in place and appropriately managed

e. Direct the daily operations of the Academic Registrar's Office

f. Implement faculty academic policies and manage exceptions

g. Ensure implementation of university policies and procedures regarding student registration, records (SRS, HEMIS, internal systems), identification cards, and graduation requirements

h. Monitor of admission related information on a daily basis for the purposes of addressing the issues within the office or escalation of issues upwards

i. Develop in consultation with the faculty the admission requirements for the university programs

j. Support the development of admission facilities and systems including electronic, paper based and hybrid systems

k. Grow and maintain the network of prospective students at the individual as well as organizational level

l. Participate in the development of admissions materials, events and marketing practices

m. Participate in student recruitment events including interviews, presentations, open days, site visits etc.

n. Communicate with other offices of the university to synchronize admission and recruitment activities with other university operations

o. Constantly engage in personal and professional development through engagement in training sessions, meetings with stakeholders, reading and other activities

p. Ensure policy compliance of office operations

q. Engage in development of office operations through policy and systems development

r. Undertake other duties at a similar level of responsibility and challenge as and when required in consultation with the Chief Development Officer
