We are seeking a Middle-Office Specialist+ to join our team.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in either middle-size or large commodity trading companies or in a bank with a similar role.

The Specialist will be responsible for supporting the front office trading activities, ensuring efficient operations and timely settlements, and providing analytical insights to optimize trading strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with front office traders and other teams to ensure trade execution, and trade capture activities are performed efficiently and accurately.

  • Ensure all trades are accurately reflected in the trading system and confirmations are sent to counterparties in a timely manner.

  • Monitor and manage trade positions and provide timely reports to the front office for decision-making purposes.

  • Reconcile trading positions and P&L between trading systems and accounting systems.

  • Review trade and position documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies.

  • Work closely with the IT team to ensure the trading systems and other supporting systems are operating effectively.

  • Provide analytical support to the front office for trade execution and optimization of trading strategies.

  • Develop reports and dashboards using CTRM systems, Excel, SQL and PowerBI to monitor trading activities and provide insights to the front office.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in middle or back-office operations in a commodity trading company or bank, with a particular focus on the oil and petroleum products markets.

  • Strong understanding of commodity trading processes, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and risk management.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop reports and dashboards using SQL and PowerBI.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets.

  • Upper-Intermediate+ English
