An international company is looking for a candidate for the position of Chief Financial Officer.
Job Description:
- Long and short term financial plan and strategies. Identify risks early and plan for mitigation. Analyse key performance indicators of the organization against Industry standards and plan for improvement.
- Lead financial planning process for Russia and CIS, measure performance against the plan, and analyse variance. Insights on performance of markets/business to improve financial and operational metrics.
- MIS & Reports on key business KPI’s with focus on profitability, cash flow and risk management.
- Adequate internal controls and report accurate financial results. Compliance to all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance to standards of local accounting laws in all markets.
- Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans
- Job experience in pharmaceutical companies is a requirement
Area of responsobility:
Strategic planning in Short and Long Term:
- Prepare short and long term business plan for each business and markets (Revenue, Expenses, and Profits).
- Work with the General Director & Executive Director on the strategic vision including as well as assisting in the development and negotiation of contracts.
- Participate in developing new business, specifically: assist the General Director & Executive Director in identifying new funding opportunities, the drafting of prospective budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective service delivery.
- Accurate projection of funds needed in line with the plans.
Financial Planning & Forecasting:
- Lead Planning & Budgeting process and assist General Director & Executive Director to finalize the budget as per the mandate given by the top management.
- To provide adequate justifications for the budget proposals based on historical data & planned activities.
- Managing cash flow as per plan.
- Monitor banking activities of the organization.
- Treasury.
Business Analysis and Support:
- Review of performance vs Budget; Earning variance analysis.
- Set Long Range Strategy Plan and Annual Budget.
- Build insightful analytics [Including but not limited to sales trending by product and geography; Market data analysis, distribution coverage, Medical Representative performance].
- Forward P&L forecasting and predictive analytics.
- Cash forecasting.
- M&A target valuation and due diligence.
- Business case management.
- Optimize ROI vs key investment.
- Benchmark key financial measures and identify the path to best in class measures.
Financial Reporting:
- To ensure the closing of the month 5th of every month by Accounting.
- Ensure on-time and accurate P&L (a monthly basis along-with complete schedules & analysis – variances with respect to budget along-with explanatory notes for variances), Balance sheet, Cash Flow.
- Accounting in both local and IFRS.
- To prepare detailed analysis of Sales Promotion expenses (By Region/By City/By Product and by Activity) & obtain justifications from Departments for variations if any with respect to Budgets.
- To create Regional Profitability Analysis.
- Representation of accurate data and analysis in business meetings including Dashboards on business KPIs.
- To prepare MIS on Variance against plan (Revenue, Profits, and Expenses).
- To monitor the budgets and the plans to ensure delivery on the same.
- Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets.
- To Ensure effective Working Capital and Procurement management
- Effective use of capital and timely repatriation of funds.
Statutory Audits, Accounting and Taxation:
- To prepare necessary schedules & data for completion of audits, successful passing of audits.
- Participation in consolidated reporting.
- Compliance with all taxation& accounting rules.
- Compliance to local accounting processes and statutory requirements in each market.
- Compliance to Transfer Pricing principles.
- Ensuring all reporting as per Accounting Standards and all audits without any adverse remarks.
- Tax assessments, filing of Tax returns and compliance to all statutory requirements.
- Ensure all statutory compliance.
Financial Control:
- To ensure all expenses are incurred as per the approved budget and as per the laid down policies & procedure.
- To control execution of all budgets approved for the year.
- To ensure all advances given to employees are reconciled at periodic intervals.
- Oversee the maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets, promotional materials.
- To inform management of unclaimed amount of distributors arising out of near expiry or damaged materials or any other claims on account of special pricing, discounts etc.
- To carry out periodic reconciliation of Accounts Receivable balance and report any discrepancies.
- To ensure that all suppliers balances are reconciled on a day to day basis & settlement for a Investigate cost-effectiveness, ROI management.
- Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliations with funders and pension plan requirements, as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by Executive management, as well as the Audit/Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
- Participate in the design, implementation of incentive schemes and oversee timely calculations and disbursements of incentives and salaries for the staff.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and ensure a disaster recovery plan is in place.
- Oversee all purchasing and payroll activity for staff and participants.
Legal and Compliances
- Attend Board and Subcommittee meetings; including being the lead staff on the Audit/ Finance Committee.
- To prepare a checklist for all compliance related matters (except drug regulatory matters) and ensure that adequate compliance is made in accordance with local laws.
- To submit Compliance checklist to corporate Finance by 15th of every month.
- Develop and maintain systems of internal controls. Oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring all audit issues are resolved, and all compliance issues are met, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with federal, state and other required supplementary schedules and information.
- To ensure that there is adequate internal control mechanism in the organization and that all laid down policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Manage all legal related aspects.
ERP and IT
- To co-ordinate with Corporate Finance & IT on all issues related to ERP set-ups and configurations and develop new reports as per Business needs.
- To oversee implementation and smooth running of IT Solutions and applications for enhancing organization’s productivity.
- To ensure real time data availability to facilitate business decisions.
