Finance Controller

Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics;
- Extensive experience (7 - 10 years) in finance and accounting roles, with a focus on finance period closing process, participation in the preparation of financial statements and compliance with financial controls;
- Good understanding of Russian accounting standards;
- IFRS knowledge is preferable;
- SAP knowledge is preferable;
- English at upper-intermediate/advanced level;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams;
- Experience in simplification and automation of processes related to accounting & reporting;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to meeting deadlines;
- Studies on IFRS/ DipIFR, ACCA, CPA or similar qualifications or will be a plus;
- Experience in former Big 4 is preferable.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Russian accounting standards, control of IFRS adjustments;
- Participation in preparation data for RGAAP financials and other government reporting;
- Control of month/quarter-end and year-end closing processes including preparation of documents, checklists;
- Prepare analytical reports, perform variance analysis, and other financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management;
- Participation in development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls;
- Review contracts for financial, tax, compliance risks;
- Control compliance with company policies and regulations, delegated authority approval levels in financial transactions;
- Coordinate and manage audits;
- Participation in preparation of trainings to the finance team, in IFRS, RAS, internal controls fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development;
- Project work on improvement of processes and internal controls, simplification & automation of accounting and reporting processes;
- Submission of financial data to statistical authorities, banks, and upon audit requests;
- Collaborate with other departments to support initiatives and projects;
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies as required;
- On-going communication with corporate teams in HQ (IFRS accounting, process improvements & automation).
