Research Assistant

SKOLKOVO School of Management is seeking to recruit a Research Assistant to conduct research on project management. The successful candidate will assist a professor of business practice in preparation of academic articles and teaching materials.
We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in project management and/or education in management, communications or journalism.

Responsibilities:

Research (40%):

• Contribute to and potentially co-author scholarly and practice-oriented articles targeting academic journals and business executives;
• Be involved in all phases of research projects (design, data collection, analysis, write up, dissemination);
• Monitor and analyze various information sources on project management, including PM standards, business publications and reviews, academic articles.

Development of teaching materials (40%):

• Conduct literature review on selected topics and organize content into teaching slide decks;
• Conduct interviews and gather information from open sources to develop teaching cases;
• Assist with case writing and teaching.

Translation (20%):

• Translate, if necessary, academic articles from English to Russian.

Qualifications/requirements:

• Bachelor‘s or Master’s degree majoring in management;
• Excellent organizational, writing and interpersonal skills;
• Comfort in understanding and summarizing academic research. Being able to explain academic findings in plain language;
• Proven evidence of writing skills. Publication portfolio will be an advantage;
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (C1-C2);
• Background in project management will be a strong advantage.
