About the Job

Instrumentation & Controls Design Engineer is responsible for related Engineering works for Instrument drawings and calculations, technical reviews for vendor quotation, vendor prints to perform projects as per Russian regulations, applicable project specifications, and company quality standards.

The job involves:

• Performance of assigned Instrumentation & Controls design work according to Russian Regulations and Standard Code as part of a multi-discipline project team
• Development of detailed instrumentation design deliverables, including drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
• Preparation and checking of all types of Electrical and/or Instrument design deliverables such as Block Diagrams, Schematics, Layout Drawings, Termination Diagrams, Schedules, Loop Diagrams, Hook-up Arrangements, Material Take-Offs, Cable Routing and Trench Layout Drawings, Bills Of Materials, Instrument Earthing Diagrams, System Architecture Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Functional Logic Diagrams, Level sketches, etc.
• Preparation and checking of Instrument schedule, Cable schedule, System Input/Output List, Alarm & Trip Schedule
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate instrumentation systems seamlessly into overall project design
• Inter-discipline review of deliverables (Civil/Structural/Piping/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation drawings) from other departments including but not limited to P&IDs, Plot plans, Piping GA drawings, Equipment layouts, Electrical single line diagrams, HVAC duct layouts, Hazardous area classification drawings, F&G Layout drawings, F&G C&E Diagrams
• Input to deliverables by various departments
• Input to 3D modelling, extraction to 3D model review
• Input to INtools (SPI/AVEVA) and report generation
• Technical review for Vendor bid offer for Electrical Materials in accordance with project standard and Code (VR Specifications, data sheets, technical passports)
• Technical review of offers for Instrument Bulk items
• Review vendor drawings for Equipment / Package items
• Coordination of other relevant disciplines and associated contractors (Client, Sub-vendors)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics and Communication
• Significant experience (8+ years) in instrumentation design within FEED , Detailed Design, and EPC phases as Instrumentation & Controls Designer
• Strong background working with reputed EPC contractors in and outside Russia, e.g. SIBUR, Gazprom Neft, Technip or RDIs
• Understanding of international standards applicable for Instrumentation like AGA, API, ASME, ASTM, BS, IEC, IEEE, ISA, ISO, NACE, NFPA
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices in instrumentation design
• Certifications in relevant software or ITIL are advantageous.
• Proficiency in instrumentation design tools, such as SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), Infomaker, SmartSketch, AutoCAT, Aveva Instrumentation, or equivalent
• General understanding of project management and control procedures
• Understanding of P&IDs and Process Control.
• Understanding of Control & Safety Systems (DCS, ESD/SIS, F&G)
• Basic awareness of quality management system and procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively with others (Project Managers, Engineers and Designers) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
• Ability to report in English, both verbal & in writing

Conditions:

• Fixed-term employment contract for 12 months from joining date (renewable)
