Chartering Manager (Dubai)

Responsibilities:

• Follow spot freight market for open vessels positions suitable for Company’s cargoes;
• Negotiate and execute short- and long-term Contracts of Affreightment;
• Provide for market insight and contribute to medium- to long-term shipping planning;
• Prepare market analysis, freight expenditure planning and performance reports;
• Work on shipping schedule concordant with suppliers and customers' needs;
• Coordinate with internal subdivisions for scheduling of import-export transactions;
• Liaise with international freight providers for commercial and operational issues;
• Collect and process information about the vessels' performance with relevant parties;
• Optimize and manage supply chain within the scope of his/her responsibility;
• Take control over internal and external workflow in line with corporate standards;
• Work with corporate ERP systems to reflect relevant shipping data;
• Handle lay time and small claims.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree;
• English is a must;
• Min 5 years of relevant work experience in shipping or commodity trading company;
• Strong background within GC and MPP segments preferably in the continent Europe;
• Extensive network of business contacts within international shipping community;
• Advanced knowledge of international shipping practices and basics of maritime law;
• Good communication skills, organization and planning skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and solve problems.
