We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior cybersecurity engineer to join our Information Security team at Zood. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions to protect our critical financial systems, customer data, and infrastructure. You will play a key role in identifying and mitigating security risks, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep technical expertise in cybersecurity, a strong understanding of banking systems, and the ability to lead security initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities
1. Security architecture and design
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and encryption technologies.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard the Zood infrastructure and data.
2. Threat detection and incident response
- Monitor and analyze security events to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
- Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and remediation of security breaches.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
3. Risk management and compliance
- Perform regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address security gaps.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001) and banking-specific standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to demonstrate adherence to security policies and regulatory requirements.
4. Security tools and automation
- Evaluate, deploy, and manage advanced security tools and technologies to enhance the Zood security posture.
- Automate security processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
5. Collaboration and leadership
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, DevOps, and risk management, to integrate security into all aspects of the Zood operations.
- Mentor and guide junior security team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
6. Research and innovation
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
- Recommend and implement innovative solutions to address emerging security challenges.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, GIAC) preferred.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proven experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
