Core Responsibilities:
Testing:
- Collaborate with developers to understand project directives and meticulously construct test plans and cases using tools like TestRail from functional and technical blueprints.
- Lead hands-on test sequences, evaluating functionality, usability, and security with precise attention.
- Conduct exhaustive regression testing to ensure effective resolutions to bugs and seamless integration of new features.
- Utilize Linear for tracking and managing test cases and defects efficiently.
Bug Detective Work:
- Swiftly identify, document, and transparently report defects, providing clear reproduction steps and contributing to efficient problem-solving.
- Act as a liaison between customers and developers to expedite issue resolutions.
Compatibility and Performance Assurance:
- Ensure universal accessibility of our products by conducting compatibility tests across various browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with optimization specialists to manually evaluate and enhance system performance and user experience.
- Maintain up-to-date, structured records of testing activities, outcomes, and methodologies.
Effective Team Play:
- Engage actively with developers, product managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure an aligned vision and execution of project goals.
Qualifications & Attributes:
Your Toolkit:
- Proven track record in hands-on QA testing roles, with experience in smoke testing and test documentation.
- Mastery of testing practices, including manual test execution and documentation.
- Sharp analytical abilities and a problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to foster collaborative success.
Your Edge (Preferred):
- Experience with TestRail for managing test documentation.
- Familiarity with Linear or Jira for issue tracking.
- Insight into web and mobile application performance testing.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles.
Educational Foundation:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is a plus.
- At least 1 year of experience in manual QA, particularly in software environments.
