Tech Lead

Location: Saudi Arabia (KSA) – Willingness to relocate or extensive business trips (70% on-site / 30% off-site)

We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead to oversee data platform migration and reporting solutions for major financial institutions in Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading technical teams, designing scalable data solutions, and working closely with business stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Platform Migration: Lead the transition of a major credit bureau’s data platform from multiple scattered data warehouses (MS SQL, IBM DB2, SAP IQ Sybase) to a unified Greenplum platform. Ensure seamless migration of ETL processes (Informatica) and implement CDC and streaming solutions using Debezium and RabbitMQ.
• Enterprise Reporting Development: Develop a corporate reporting platform for a major bank in Saudi Arabia, utilizing an existing Enterprise Data Warehouse (Teradata, Informatica PowerCenter). Optimize reporting capabilities for enhanced business intelligence.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance, review code, and ensure best practices in data architecture and ETL development.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external business stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and align development efforts with business objectives.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize SQL queries, ETL pipelines, and data models for high performance and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues.
• Agile Methodologies: Implement Agile best practices, ensuring smooth project execution and on-time delivery.

Requirements:

• Must-have: Greenplum, Teradata, advanced SQL, any enterprise ETL-tool experience
• Nice-to-have: ETL Informatica PowerCenter, Debezium/Kafka, Java, Microstrategy, PowerBI

Experience:

• Data Warehousing (DWH): 5+ years of experience with DWH projects in fintech, IT consulting, or related industries.
• Team Leadership: Proven experience leading a team of 5+ engineers in a technical leadership role.
• Business Understanding: Strong knowledge of financial and banking data management practices.

Other Requirements:

• Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Relocation: Willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia or travel extensively (70% on-site / 30% off-site).
