Search Quality Improvement Lead

We’re looking for a Search Quality Improvement Lead to evaluate the quality of Yandex search results in Uzbek. This is a part-time remote role with a flexible schedule, ideal for detail-oriented contributors with experience in data analysis, team support, or task coordination

You’ll be part of a distributed contractor team supporting Yandex through a service agreement with Mellow. Your responsibilities will include reviewing search engine output, helping maintain task standards, answering contributor questions, and onboarding new team members

What you'll do

• Evaluate search results
• Assess the quality and relevance of Uzbek-language search results
• Support contributors
• Answer questions in task chats and offer constructive feedback
• Maintain documentation
• Help update and clarify task guidelines to improve clarity and consistency
• Handle complex tasks
• Work on assignments requiring deep language and cultural insight
• Train and onboard new contributors
• Run training webinars and assist with onboarding processes
• Review candidate pools
• Support quality control and contributor eligibility assessments

We expect that you

• Are a native Uzbek speaker with strong linguistic and cultural knowledge
• Have at least an Intermediate+ level of English
• Have experience with web analytics and analyzing large data sets
• Have worked on projects or managed cross-functional teams
• Are attentive to detail and comfortable with repetitive tasks
• Can work independently and manage a variety of assignments
• Preferably have experience in training or task coordination
• Have developed or managed training courses (preferred)

It’d be a plus if you

• Are a senior student or graduate of TSEU, PDP, UzGUMYA, or the Financial Institute
• Have a background in frontend development, data science, or financial analysis

What we offer

• Remote work format
• Flexible part-time schedule (minimum 20 hours/week, 4 hours/day)
• Task-based compensation (approx. $3.5/hour)
• Service contract with Mellow (self-employed individuals welcome to apply)
