for trading company we are looking for Credit Risk Analyst:

Structure: Economics and Finance Department

Reporting to: Head of Treasury

Job Purpose Summary

The Credit Risk Department has primary responsibility to assess, monitor and manage the counterparty credit exposure and relationship for the Group, in line with the established policies and guidelines. The primary purpose of the Credit Risk Analyst is to analyze the creditworthiness of our trading counterparts, manage related credit exposure, while supporting the business in line with pre-agreed risk appetite, in the aim of protecting the Company’s interestsю

The Credit Risk Analyst is responsible for:

Analysis and Reporting:

- Assess the credit worthiness of the Group’s counterparts, which includes the operating environment, Group/shareholding structure, profitability, financial structure, cash flows, and comparison with peers.

- Negotiate reciprocal Credit Lines with our trading counterparts

- Exercise credit judgement, and provide pragmatic recommendations in terms of credit exposure, while offering risk mitigations alternatives when available

- Manage and monitor a portfolio of trading counterparts: proactive monitoring of exposure, take appropriate actions to report issues, and when mitigation of exposure is required

- Answer multiple day-to-day requests in a timely manner

- Assign internal credit ratings.

Legal:

- Manage parental guarantees received and given by Company for its subsidiaries

Scope & Interactions:

- Follow-up on counterpart evolution, maintain ongoing relationships;

- Identify and submit alternative Credit Risk Coverage solutions (banks, insurances) to support trading activity;

- Interact and take part of the credit decision-making process on a daily basis within the local team, and with all our subsidiaries worldwide;

- Support new business development;

- Participate in the Credit & Risk Management Committee;

- Manage Insurance Policies for the Group

Competency Requirements:

Experience: Around 4-5 years of relevant work experience within a commodity trading company or a bank

Knowledge:

- Proven experience in analyzing financial statements and making credit recommendations is essential

- Strong understanding of corporate analysis, knowledge of contracts and credit documentation, and a good knowledge of the capital and commodity market

Key Behaviors & Skills:

Must have:

- Strong knowledge of Excel is required, Eikon/ S&P Capital IQ/ SAP / is an asset;

- Great communication and interpersonal skills;

- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities;

Education: Higher education, preferably a University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or similar University education in a relevant field (Finance, Economics, Business, etc

Languages: Excellent written and oral English communication skills Excellent written and oral English. Good level of Turkish language will be considered as a plus
