Key Responsibilities:
- **Logistics Service Procurement:** Source and procure logistics services, including transportation (freight, shipping, etc.), warehousing, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers, to meet operational needs.
- **Contract Negotiation:** Negotiate terms, rates, and service level agreements (SLAs) with logistics vendors to achieve cost efficiency and reliable service delivery.
- **Supplier Management:** Build and maintain relationships with logistics service providers, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
- **Process Optimization:** Evaluate and select logistics solutions to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs in the supply chain.
- **Cost Analysis:** Analyze logistics costs, identify savings opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize transportation and warehousing expenses.
- **Compliance & Documentation:** Ensure all logistics procurement activities adhere to industry regulations, international trade standards, and company policies.
- **Collaboration:** Work closely with supply chain, production, and finance teams to align logistics procurement with production schedules and business goals.
- **Data & Reporting:** Track logistics procurement metrics, prepare performance reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in procurement of logistics services or supply chain management, preferably in the home appliance or manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing contracts with logistics providers.
- Familiarity with logistics software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Knowledge of transportation modes, freight forwarding, and warehousing operations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cost optimization and process improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with international logistics and customs regulations.
- Understanding of lean supply chain practices or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for analysis and reporting.
