Kanzum is a B2B fintech building cross-border payments and local account infrastructure across Africa and Asia (reference: Wise Business). We’re opening a UAE office now, expanding into Europe next, and targeting high-growth corridors including Francophone Africa and Nigeria, then Pakistan and Bangladesh. Team today: ~5. Plan: grow to 20–50 in the next 12 months.
The Mission
Headhunt and hire the next ~50 people in 12 months—and help them land, ramp, and perform. This is a company-building role: you won’t just “fill roles,” you’ll help define what we need and how to win talent in competitive markets.
What You’ll Do

Own full-cycle recruiting across Africa, Europe, UAE, and Asia.

Fill 80%+ non-technical roles: Sales, Marketing, BizDev/Partnerships, Support/Success, Compliance, Risk, Ops.

Run proactive headhunting (passive candidate outreach, conversion, closing) with creative sourcing strategies.

Build fintech/payments market maps and external talent pools for senior and niche hires.

Partner with the Founder/hiring managers on role scoping, success profiles, compensation ranges, and hiring priorities.

Maintain a high-velocity, structured process: scorecards, competency-based interviews (STAR/PARLA, behavioral/biographical), funnel analytics, weekly reporting.

Support onboarding handover: help new hires integrate fast with clear 30/60/90 expectations.
What You Bring

Senior recruiting experience with strong headhunting track record for mid-to-senior roles internationally (EU/US/UAE/Asia/Africa).

Proven hiring success in commercial functions (Sales/Marketing/BizDev) and adjacent ops/regulatory roles.

English C1+ (French and/or Arabic is a plus).

Able to do mapping, research, salary benchmarking, and advise stakeholders with market reality.

Resilient and disciplined on long searches; highly organized (timelines, follow-ups, reporting).

Direct, candid communicator; emotionally mature; works from business outcomes.
Strong Plus

Background in payments/fintech (not crypto, gambling, or forex).

Experience in demanding, fast-moving environments; strong training early career (e.g., Avito, Yandex, inDrive or similar).
