Role Description:
The Grains & Feeds Trader will be responsible for procurement and trading activities focused on grains, feeds, oilseeds, and pulses, with a primary emphasis on Russian suppliers. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Rostov, Russia, and requires close collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, logistics partners, and clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing procurement from Russian suppliers and executing trades across targeted markets
- Building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with suppliers and buyers
- Conducting market analysis to identify trading opportunities and manage price risk
- Executing FOB and CIF trades, including negotiation, contracting, and documentation
- Chartering vessels and coordinating logistics for bulk and container shipments
- Managing financial flows, payment terms, hedging strategies, and risk exposure
- Ensuring smooth execution of end‑to‑end trade operations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in agricultural commodity trading (wheat, corn, barley, sunflower meal, rapeseed meal, wheat bran pellets, chickpeas, red/green lentils, yellow peas etc.)
- Strong understanding of commodity markets, pricing dynamics, and risk management
- Knowledge of hedging strategies and financial management
- Established commercial relationships with suppliers in Russia and buyers in Turkey or the region
- Effective sales and negotiation skills with a focus on long‑term client relationships
- Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities
- Proficiency with market analysis tools and trading technologies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment
- Relevant educational background in commodity trading, international trade, shipping, or a related field is required
