The Role

  • Define and implement the milk sourcing strategy to ensure uninterrupted, sustainable, and cost-efficient supply of high-quality dairy raw materials for several production sites.
  • Continuously monitor and anticipate market dynamics (pricing, seasonal fluctuations, regional supply structures, sustainability trends), translating insights into forward-looking procurement strategies that secure long-term business continuity.
  • Build, develop, and optimize a robust supplier network by strengthening existing partnerships, identifying alternative sources, and leading complex negotiations to secure optimal commercial and contractual conditions while safeguarding raw material quality.
  • Ensure full contract lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, and proper documentation control in line with internal standards, veterinary legislation, and food safety requirements.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Logistics, ensuring accurate volume forecasting, balanced raw material planning, and optimized milk flow between production sites.
  • Drive continuous improvement of procurement processes, mitigating operational risks and enhancing efficiency across the supply chain.
  • Lead and develop the Milk Supply team, ensuring high performance, capability development, accountability, and alignment with corporate values and governance standards.

The Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in dairy raw materials procurement, with strong knowledge of market dynamics, suppliers, and seasonal trends
  • Proven ability to build and implement sourcing strategies in a production environment
  • Successful negotiation track record with key suppliers in complex or volatile market
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to develop and motivate
  • Good knowledge of veterinary legislation
  • Strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and high standards of integrity/compliance
  • At least Intermediate English
