The Role

  • Own and drive the full engineering agenda of the plant, leading the design, planning, and execution of capital investment and technical development projects (several billion RUR annually) to expand capacity, enable new product launches, and upgrade existing operations.
  • Shape and implement the plant master plan, covering all physical assets (production equipment, utilities, buildings, and engineering networks), ensuring long-term alignment with global strategy and commercial priorities.
  • Lead a team of 15 engineers organized across domains (processing technologies, packaging & contract manufacturing, and utilities & infrastructure), through 3 Project Managers, ensuring delivery, capability building, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Oversee complex and diverse technologies, including core processing (milling, raw material transformation, flavor integration), packaging systems, and full site utilities (boilers, water treatment, electrical, HVAC, infrastructure).
  • Ensure engineering support beyond the main plant, including multiple regional packaging sites and contract manufacturing operations across different countries.
  • Manage selected external investment scope, including strategic equipment at supplier and partner level (e.g., molds, packaging lines), ensuring consistency with internal standards and performance expectations.
  • Drive asset lifecycle management and continuous improvement, from equipment condition assessment to investment prioritization and modernization initiatives.
  • Act as a key interface with global engineering and central functions, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and alignment within defined frameworks.
  • Build a high-performing engineering organization by developing capabilities, strengthening expertise, and fostering a culture of ownership and performance.

The Candidate

  • Engineering degree required; additional education in project management, MBA, or innovation management is a strong plus
  • Solid leadership experience (3–5 years) in international industrial companies, managing engineering or technical teams in environments of minimum 300 employees
  • Proven track record in improving operational efficiency (e.g., process automation, performance optimization of technical functions)
  • International exposure is important; experience abroad or in a multinational environment in a similar role is a strong advantage
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity; strategic mindset, resilience, and curiosity are key
