Open Longevity is looking for a host to join a new media project focused on aging, longevity, and emerging biomedical technologies. We create content for Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms.
We’re looking for someone who feels comfortable on camera, enjoys talking to new people, can conduct interviews, and is comfortable working in different filming formats — from studio interviews to street interviews.
Responsibilities:
— Interview scientists and other people featured in the project, both in the studio and on location;
— Conduct street interviews and public surveys about aging, longevity, and people’s attitudes toward new technologies;
— Contribute to developing interview questions, video concepts, and background materials;
— Participate in Open Longevity’s public awareness and educational initiatives focused on aging and longevity;
— Appear in short-form videos for Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms;
— Record voice-over and narration for videos.
Who We’re Looking For:
— Available to travel to filming locations throughout the region
— Fluent spoken English and a natural, confident on-camera presence;
— Strong communication and interviewing skills, including the ability to listen closely and ask thoughtful follow-up questions;
— Comfortable approaching and engaging with people in both structured interviews and spontaneous street-interview settings;
— Previous experience as a host, interviewer, actress, journalist, content creator, or podcast host;
— A genuine interest in science, biology, medicine, longevity, or emerging technologies.
A scientific background is not required. We will provide the necessary context and help you prepare for each topic. Russian language skills are a strong plus, as occasional content and team communication may be in Russian.
Format and Schedule:
— Ongoing, part-time, project-based collaboration involving approximately 3–6 filming days per month;
— Filming at various locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, with the schedule agreed upon in advance;
— Compensation will be discussed individually based on experience and the scope of each shoot;
— Paid preparation time for developing interview questions, concepts, and supporting materials;
— Reimbursement of approved transportation expenses, including rideshare, mileage, and parking.
