Job Summary:

Being the leader of QA/Testing teams, the QA Lead (Director) drives strategy, methodology, and execution of every quality assurance, quality control and testing-related initiative (abbr. QA), including practices of integration, system, functional, acceptance and other testing activities to ensure product perfection as well as user satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Strategy, Processes, Operations

  • Develop and execute a company-wide QA strategy and plans aligned with business strategy, key objectives and plans in an manner efficient in terms of cost, schedule, and other business metrics.
  • Identify, assess, mitigate and monitor factors and risks affecting the quality and performance of the TradingView product.
  • Work with other departments in order to strengthen and improve team-related processes and every engineering practice for better performance and efficiency of QA team and company overall.
  • Define and track key performance indicators and metrics of the department, continuously improving one’s efficiency and performance of the QA teams.
  • Effectively oversee and coordinate daily operations of the QA teams.

Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Testing

  • Be an ambassador of every QA-related practice in the organization, should it be daily bug-hunting process, implementation of an innovative framework or bug-tracking system, issues with CI/CD and testing pipelines, redefining the way QA teams operate or any other activity related to the role.

  • Evaluate and improve the current technological landscape, as well as methodologies and QA practices, keeping an eye on the latest and most advanced ones by suggesting, implementing, utilizing and improving such tools, methodologies and practices in TradingView's work for the most optimal and efficient performance, both at the company' level and for every QA team.

  • Introduce, develop, improve and maintain practices of automated, security, load and other types of testing, both functional and non-functional, using the most effective applicable methods and tools.

  • Implement, use and maintain relevant metrics to keep up-to-date benchmarks over the product health and team performance.

  • Lead and manage documenting practices within the reporting teams to create comprehensive documentation, for both internal and external purposes.

Team Management

  • Operate QA teams (from 100 employees) in a supportive, developing, collaborative, and highly-performance manner.
  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention of the teams activities, ensuring the right mix of skills and knowledge within the team.
  • Participate in the development of HR strategy, constantly seeking the most effective and innovative practices in the areas of management, development, retention, and recruiting.

Other

  • Execute other assignments of the company's senior management.

  • Manage available human resources and forecast necessary changes to meet targets and business needs.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, 1-to-1s, 360 reviews, and other relevant procedures on subordinate personnel.

Job Requirements:

7+ years of working experience in software quality assurance, quality control or testing

General Knowledge, Tools, and Technologies:

  • At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in a QA environment.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, Recent and Best Practices of Software Development and QA Processes, including Automated, Manual and Load testing.
  • Change Management Techniques.
  • Agile Methodologies.
  • Project Management tools such as Atlassian Jira, Aha, or similar.
  • Confluence or other Document Management tools.

Languages:

  • Russian — Fluent.
