Senior data engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Creation of a unified data model for the company
• Design and development of data transformation processes (ETL) for data warehouse and BigData platform
• Development of a monitoring system for ETL processes

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Knowledge of the principles of building relational databases
• Knowledge of design principles for OLTP and OLAP data warehouses
• Knowledge of data caching principles
• Deep understanding of Data Warehousing design and construction principles, including knowledge of methodologies and best practices
• Talend (we are using 8.0.1 version)
• ETL Pipelines
• Good knowledge of Bash, SQL (query plan, functions, procedures, indexes, partitioning, data compression methods, query optimization, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of Machine learning
• Basic Java knowledge
• Ability to develop and optimize OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) cubes to support analytical queries and reporting

Additional advantage:

• Data modeling (in BPMN, UML notations)
• Skills in working with BI tools – QlikView, PowerBI
• Skills in working with Clickhouse DBMS
• Experience in e-commerce
