SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) Capability Manager (relocation is required)

Job description: As a part of IT Governance team in Ameriabank, you will be responsible for definition, maintenance and overseeing of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Your role will be critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient implementation of SDLC process, standards, practices and tools while minimizing disruption to business operations.

Responsibilities:​​​​​​​

1. Define and maintain SDLC process, procedures, standards, practices and tools aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
2. Define and lead SDLC metrics.
3. Provide guidance to the cross-functional teams and ensure they adhere to SDLC process, procedures, standards, practices and tools.
4. Ensure adherence to software development methodologies and best practices.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements.
6. Identify training and skill development needs for cross-functional teams and provide training and awareness programs to educate in the SDLC process, procedures, standards, practices and tools.
7. Act as a subject matter expert on SDLC matters, providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams as needed
8. Capture lessons learned and implement corrective actions to enhance future SDLC process.
9. Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to SDLC, incorporating innovative solutions into our process.

Requirements:​​​​​​​

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Agile, DevOps) preferred.
2. Proven experience (5+ years) in leading development teams or related roles within the Fintech or technology industry.
3. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including agile, waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
4. Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions
5. Experience with SDLC tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
6. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple initiatives concurrently, and drive activities to completion.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
