We invite an experienced professional Lawyer for trade contracts to work in oil trading.
Role & Main Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating trading contracts based on deal recaps
- Maintain base of the signed contracts
- Liaising with traders, operators and logistics team to advise on all contractual aspects of the trading contracts
- Identify non-standard contractual terms and liaise with relevant company departments, including legal and finance, in this regard
- Advising on freight contracts and matters ancillary to the shipping of physical commodities
- Acting as the focal point and advisor for all issues, which come up as part of the contract execution
Qualifications:
- Higher education (Bachelor's/Master's degree)
- 7-10 years of experience in an oil trading firm
- Knowledge of English law (important in practice), Incoterms, trade & shipping law
- Fluent English (both oral and written)
- Excellent grasp of legal issues and demonstrated learner mindset
- Ability to clearly explain legal and commercial risks to the relevant departments
