Aramco Research Center – Moscow is offering great job opportunities for a driven, talented, and energetic laboratory researcher to join our growing Advanced Materials team. Advanced materials can play a key role in the creation of more economical and higher performing compounds and materials for the demanding field applications of upstream oil and gas discovery and recovery operations. Researcher will be responsible for independently performing laboratory experiments on synthesis of novel materials including nanofibers, nanoparticles, nanocatalysts, their characterization using in-house and external analytical tools, planning, and conducting kinetic experiments and modeling the process using specialized software.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct laboratory experiments in a safe and detail-oriented manner
- Research in the field of green chemistry solutions, circular economy, waste management
- Synthesis of nanomaterials and waste recycling
- Working on hydrogen production/storage projects
- Analysis of reaction kinetics and application of experimental results for process modeling
- Coordinate and run required analytical testing as needed
- Follow and help to prepare Standard Operating Procedures for experiments and equipment
- Record and organize test results in Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, etc.
- Help to maintain an inventory of lab chemicals, raw materials, samples, and supplies
- Participate in team meetings
Requirements:
- Possess a Master of Science degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Physics.
- PhD degree would be an asset.
- More than 5 years of practical laboratory experience.
- Knowledge of lab safety and standard operating procedures is essential.
- Knowledge and experience in hydrogen production and storage, chemical recycling, waste management is a strong asset.
- Hands-on experience in the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials (e.g. nano-catalysts, nanofibers, nanoparticles, etc.) is essential.
- Experience with multiple analytical tools including, but not limited: ICP-OES/MS, XPS, SEM, FTIR, XRD, DLS, TGA, HPLC, and GC-MS is an asset.
- Experience in searching and analyzing scientific articles and patents in English.
- Experience in preparing scientific reports, articles, and presentations.
- Knowledge of English at a level not lower than Intermediate (reading specialized literature, basic communication skills).
