We are looking for an inspired engineer to be a part of our Algorithms, Architecture and Specification team.
Responsibility is to create, verify and maintain 4G/LTE models for L1/L2(PDCP, RLC, MAC)/L3(RRC), Evolved Packet Core (EPC) and Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) . Focus areas are some or all of the following sub-domains depending on skills:
What will you do:
- Define, optimize and specify algorithms for 4G/LTE features for some layer or EPC, OAM;
- Develop, verify and maintain 4G/LTE models;
- Perform technical analysis and refinement of 4G/LTE features;
- Lead certain algorithms competence area(s);
- Ensure consistency of algorithm related feature requirements, implementation and verification with other teams;
- Ensure product customer expectations fulfillment in the field of algorithm-based capacity and performance;
- Consult development teams in features implementation;
- Create feature and test specifications for algorithms;
- Investigate and correct algorithms related complex customer problems;
- Align algorithms and models to 3GPP updates.
What do we expect from a future team member:
- Master or above in telecommunication, electronic engineering, computer science, or related;
- General knowledge of LTE/5G;
- Deep knowledge of and first-hand experience (requirements, modeling, implementation, profiling, testing or deployment) with some particular LTE/5G layer or component;
- Experiences on programming in Python/Matlab and modeling wireless communications systems;
- 3+ years of background on development/research/specification of wireless/telecom/radar systems for L1/L2/L3;
- Verbal communication and fluent writing skills in English and Russian languages;
- Proactive and independent problem solving through own experience and network;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in distributed teams.
Preferred skills:
- Experiences on programming in Python/Matlab/C/C++ and modeling wireless communications systems for L1/L2/L3, core network or OAM;
- Embedded systems, ARM, DSP, ASIC, FPGA etc. SW development expertise;
- Background in SW architecture/specification work for telecom/radar/wireless (embedded systems, ARM, DSP, ASIC, FPGA etc.) and/or signal processing SW development;
- Understanding of the ASIC/FPGA or DSP/low level SW design flow and process;
- Strong background in communications theory and signal processing.
