Required Experience: 3-6 years
Our company operates internationally, managing key engineering and manufacturing projects. We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer to oversee and optimize operational processes, ensure alignment with strategic goals, and lead the implementation of efficient management systems for our operations in Uganda
Key Requirements:
• Proven relevant experience of at least 2 years as an Operations Director in the production sector.
• Higher education technical, management or a related field;
• Experience in building management systems from scratch.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Analytical mindset, systematic approach, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
• Successful experience in forming (20+ people), developing motivation systems, and setting KPIs.
• Experience working with government structures or on international projects.
• IT project management experience is desirable.
• Willingness to work abroad.
• Experience in international markets will be considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in English at the C2 level.
Main responsibilities:
• Develop and implement operational and strategic management systems.
• Plan short-term and mid-term activities aligned with the company’s development strategy.
• Optimize and document business processes and implement digital solutions.
• Manage daily operations and handle crisis situations effectively.
• Monitor the execution of current tasks and ensure deadlines are met for both operational objectives and the overall project.
• Organize and coordinate the activities of operational departments.
• Create new programs and work standards.
• Develop reporting systems and key performance indicators to enhance departmental efficiency and improve the company’s competitiveness.
• Establish communication systems between company departments.
Conditions:
• Work schedule alternating between 3 months on-site in Uganda and 1 month remotely.
