Requirements:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including engineering, construction, services and supply contracts.
- Drafting and calculation of price schedules, calculation of unit-rates, total contract price, commercial proposals with further coordination and approval of finance department;
- Ensure contracts meet all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Review contract terms and conditions, highlighting risks and ensuring alignment with company policies, financial and accounting requirements;
- Identify potential risks within contract clauses and work with stakeholders to mitigate those risks.
- Advise the management team on risk exposure and propose strategies to minimize risks.
- Manage the contract lifecycle from signing to execution, ensuring all obligations are met.
- Ensure timely submission and compliance with deliverables, milestones, and other contract obligations.
- Coordinate with various departments (finance and accounting department, project management, engineering department) to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contract documentation and correspondence.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and monitor ongoing contract performance.
- Prepare reports on contract status, performance, and compliance for management.
- Participate in contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to reach favourable terms for the company.
- Resolve conflicts and disputes related to contracts in a timely and effective manner.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure proper contract management.
- Provide guidance on contract-related matters to other departments and stakeholders.
- Communicate with clients and vendors to address any issues or queries related to contracts.
Required Personal Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree in Law, Finance, Economics or Business-related fields.
- Proven experience at least of 3-5 years as a Contracts Engineer or in a similar role within the oil and gas, engineering or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of oil and gas contracts (drilling, exploration, maintenance, etc.) and industry regulations.
- Sound understanding of contract law, international trade, and legal frameworks in the oil and gas sector.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Fluent in English and Russian languages.
