We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to oversee and optimize production processes, ensuring high-quality outcomes and efficient workflows. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing resources, meeting project timelines, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet customer demand and production targets.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address any delays or unforeseen issues.
Ensure efficient utilization of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Production Supervision:
Oversee all production activities, including raw material handling, assembly, testing, and packaging.
Monitor production performance and identify areas for improvement.
Implement process improvements and quality control measures to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Team Management:
Lead and motivate a team of production workers, including supervisors, technicians, and operators.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
Quality Control:
Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure products meet established standards.
Investigate and resolve quality issues promptly.
Conduct regular quality audits and inspections.
Inventory Management:
Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Minimize inventory costs while ensuring adequate stock levels to meet production demands.
Cost Control:
Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices for raw materials and equipment.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure proper maintenance and repair of production equipment.
Schedule and oversee equipment maintenance activities.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
Investigate and address safety concerns promptly.
Continuous Improvement:
Continuously seek ways to improve production processes and efficiency.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and new technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
