Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics Program Director

Aramco Innovations is a Russian representative office of the research center that is the part of Saudi Aramco, the state-owned national oil company of Saudi Arabia.

Aramco Research Center in Moscow supports development in the areas of upstream technologies in simulation and modeling, advanced materials, data analytics and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities:

• Acts as line-manager and technical lead for all technical / scientific staff in the team.
• Ensure proper project execution and regular reporting to the recipient («customers»).
• Responsible for the administration of the technical R&D budget for his program and administratively and technically reports to the Direct Supervisor.
• Conceive, design and carry out major applied industrial research studies to resolve complex technical problems.
• Ensure that productive collaboration with the recipient technical domains in Saudi Arabia.
• Provide leadership in research and development efforts.
• Determine areas of research based on advanced technologies and changing expectations of proponents.
• Manage the daily activities of the program and the working group with the responsibility of best possible utilization of resources.
• Evaluate the performance of his team members.
• Interact with cooperating partners in industry and academia.
• Prepare papers and/or manuals setting forth results of his studies and recommend corrections or other appropriate action to apply the results of the work.
• Upon need expected to make visits to the field, rigs, upstream facilities, research laboratories, and to attend professional and industrial society meetings.
• Achievement of the annual KPI’s which are set each year by the General Director.
• Timely and accurate execution of reports and other documents.

Requirements:

• More than 20 years of experience with Ph.D. in Science/Engineering/Physics/Applied Physics Disciplines.
• More than 10 years of experience as a head with full responsibility for major technical work in field.
• Should have several publications in relevant area and may serve as an expert reviewer for journals and scientific societies.
• May hold patents on inventions in areas of expertise.
• Working experiences in the oil industry is preferred but is not a must.
• Sshould have experience as a research project leader and in developing research projects.
• Good communication skills in English (writing and speaking) are essential – Upper-Intermediate+.
