We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to lead and oversee all commercial operations related to our payment portal in our subsidiary in Kampala (Uganda). This critical role encompasses process management, client support, stakeholder engagement, and dispatch management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and high service delivery standards, while driving continuous improvement and maximizing team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic & Process Management: Develop, implement, and refine commercial strategies to optimize payment portal operations. Ensure seamless coordination between processing, client support, and dispatch teams. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to efficiency, service delivery, and revenue growth. Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

  • Client Support & Relationship Management: Oversee the client support team, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer inquiries and issues. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, focusing on satisfaction and retention. Implement service improvement initiatives based on client feedback.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Management: Serve as the primary liaison between the company, partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Facilitate collaboration across internal departments to streamline commercial operations.

  • Dispatch & Service Scheduling Management: Ensure efficient coordination of dispatch operations for timely service delivery. Oversee service scheduling to maximize operational efficiency. Develop and implement strategies to minimize delays and optimize resource allocation.

  • Team Leadership & Performance Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial team, fostering a results-oriented and customer-centric culture. Conduct performance reviews and implement training and development programs to enhance team productivity and professionalism.

  • Reporting & Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze performance data and generate reports for senior management. Provide insights and recommendations for process optimization and business growth. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with reporting standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • English not less than C1

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar commercial/operations management role.

  • Demonstrated experience in process management, client support, stakeholder engagement, and dispatch operations.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
