The IT company Andersen invites a Product Owner to work on a large-scale project for one of our Canadian partners.

The customer is a luxury travel technology and procurement company with industry-leading booking platforms that enhance the efficiency of travel professionals and maximize their revenue opportunities. The company handles over $1 billion in transactions annually and has a team of 2,200+ travel experts.

The project is an actual web platform (travel services industry) for clients in the North American market.

Responsibilities:

  • Owning and managing the product backlog, ensuring tasks are well-defined and prioritized.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Working with development teams to ensure smooth sprint execution and timely delivery.
  • Maintaining and executing the product roadmap, balancing short-term priorities with long-term vision.
  • Facilitating backlog refinement, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.
  • Ensuring Agile best practices are followed and continuously improved.
  • Communicating regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on progress, risks, and key decisions.
  • Translating business needs into actionable development tasks, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Understanding technical aspects, including APIs, integrations, and system architecture, to collaborate effectively with developers.

Must-haves:

  • Experience as a Product Owner in a technology-driven environment for 3+ years.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and product development workflows.
  • Experience in backlog management, roadmap planning, and user story creation.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and define clear, structured solutions.
  • Technical literacy – understanding of software development, APIs, and architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong decision-making and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with Gantt charts, release planning, and scope management.
  • Background in business analysis or software development.
