We are a forward-thinking publishing company dedicated to delivering impactful stories and ideas to global audiences. As we expand our presence across social media, we are looking for a Social Media Manager (SMM) with expertise in short-form video content to lead and execute our strategy across platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Reels.

Role Overview

This is a flexible, part-time position with the opportunity to focus on social media management only, or to take on a dual role involving both strategy and content creation.

We are seeking a highly organized, creative professional who can:

  • Identify and apply trends across key short-form video platforms

  • Ideate, coordinate, and produce engaging video content

  • Collaborate with external content creators or editors when necessary

  • Manage posting schedules and report on performance analytics

Key Responsibilities

  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on platform-specific trends (e.g. TikTok challenges, Reels formats) relevant to books, publishing, self-development, and related niches.

  • Content Development:

    • Either produce content in-house (including scripting, editing, voiceover, and visuals)

    • Or oversee production by coordinating with external freelancers and editors

  • Channel Management: Schedule and publish content consistently across all platforms

  • Performance Analysis: Track KPIs, analyze what’s working, and adjust strategies accordingly. Regular reporting to internal stakeholders is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the publishing industry or with book-related content

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Familiarity with AI video tools, CapCut, Canva, or Premiere Pro

  • Strong understanding of what drives engagement on short-form video platforms

  • German language skills are a plus
