Native English Teacher for Adults

Anikieva School is an online English school for adult learners.

We help our students overcome the fear of speaking, become more confident in English, and use the language in real-life situations rather than simply memorising grammar rules.

We are currently expanding our international teaching team and looking for a friendly, patient, and engaging English teacher who can help adult learners start speaking with confidence.

We welcome native English speakers from different countries. You do not have to be from the United States or the United Kingdom. What matters to us is clear, natural English, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain things simply.

What you will do

— Teach individual online lessons lasting 60 minutes;
— Teach group lessons lasting 90 minutes;
— Work mainly with adult learners at B1+ levels;
— Help students overcome their fear of speaking English;
— Build lessons around practical, real-life communication;
— Give short, clear, and manageable homework;
— Follow the school’s teaching standards and internal procedures;
— Update lesson information in our CRM system after each class.

Our teaching approach

Our goal is not simply to “cover a topic”.

After every lesson, the student should be able to do something new in English: introduce themselves, talk about their daily life, ask questions, order food, discuss plans, or handle another real-life situation.

We focus on:

— a supportive learning environment;
— helping students feel comfortable making mistakes;
— measurable progress after every lesson.

We want lessons to feel positive, energetic, and useful. We are against boring lectures, excessive grammar theory, and mechanical memorisation.

Who we are looking for

You may be a good fit if you:

— are a native English speaker or have genuinely native-level English;
— speak clearly and can adapt your language to beginner students;
— have experience teaching English online;
— have experience working with adult learners;
— can explain vocabulary and grammar without complicated terminology;
— know how to encourage students and keep them speaking;
— are friendly, reliable, and easy to communicate with;
— are comfortable receiving feedback and following school standards;
— have a stable internet connection, a computer, a camera, and a good microphone.

A TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or another teaching qualification is welcome but not essential if you have strong relevant experience.

This position may not be suitable for you if you:

— prefer a strict, traditional classroom style;
— spend most of the lesson explaining grammar;
— correct every student mistake;
— expect students to speak quickly and understand everything immediately;
— do not want to work within the school’s teaching standards and CRM system.
