Release Manager (relocation is required)

Job description: As a part of IT Governance team in Ameriabank, you will be responsible for definition, maintenance and overseeing of the release management process. Your role will be critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient implementation of release management process while minimizing disruption to business operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain release management process, procedures, standards, practices and tools aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
2. Implement release management automation tools and processes to streamline deployment workflows and improve release efficiency.
3. Define and monitor release management metrics, providing regular updates to stakeholders and identifying areas for process improvement.
4. Provide guidance to the cross-functional teams and ensure they adhere to Release management processes, procedures, standards, practices and tools.
5. Ensure adherence to release management methodologies and best practices.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements.
7. Identify training and skill development needs for cross-functional teams and provide training and awareness programs to educate in the Release management process, procedures, standards, practices and tools.
8. Act as a subject matter expert on Release management matters, providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams as needed.
9. Capture lessons learned and implement corrective actions to enhance future Release management process.
10. Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to release management, incorporating innovative solutions into our release management process.

Requirements:​​​​​​​

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Agile, DevOps) preferred.
2. Proven experience (5+ years) in release management or related roles within the Fintech or technology industry.
3. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including agile, waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
4. Experience with release management tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Jira, Azure DevOps).
5. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple initiatives concurrently, and drive activities to completion.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
7. Familiarity with cloud computing technologies and deployment models.
8. Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and automation tools.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex release issues and drive resolution.
10. Proactive mindset with a commitment to driving continuous improvement that meet business objectives.
