This role is responsible for leading the planning, management and delivery of all paid media communications (campaigns and evergreen/always-on) across the respective region to drive revenue for the business.
The Comms Planning Manager has direct accountability for the management and performance of all media budgets in their region. Achieving this requires close collaboration with executive, managerial and operational levels across all parts of the business as well as with third party agency, publisher and tech suppliers.
This is a senior-level role to someone who enjoys working independently in a virtual team and interested in establishing themselves as the key go to person for media and marketing activation within their dedicated region.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, own and deploy annual briefing process for B2B budgets in each local market/territory within the respective region.
- Manage full end-to-end campaign/evergreen activation process including briefing, evaluation and approval of plans through to analysis, optimisation, reporting and application of learning.
- Ensure creative production process is aligned and integrated with briefing, planning, optimisation and deployment.
- Stay up-to-date with current industry trends, and participate in conversations around future direction, to ensure we are a best-in-class digital organisation.
- Overall management of regional budgets, business and comms planning to deliver profitable plans aligned with the objectives and targets.
- Manage relationships with Digital Sales, Marketing, Brand Activation Studio and BI to ensure all activities are planned to deliver a strong ROI whilst being aligned with brand guidelines and delivered in a timely manner.
- Build strong relations and effectively manage third party Agency supplier resource, ensuring adherence to SLA, efficient use of annual FTE as well as proportionate access by internal stakeholders.
Media Operations path:
- Manage approval flows of marketing expenditure and conducting oversight on deliverables across multiple sectors
- Monitors all media related expenditure and initiate improvements actions
- Being main point of contact for the Finance and BI team for the streaming marketing expenditure, forecast, re-forecast submission
- Establishes strong working relationship with local/regional stakeholders to deliver prompt and accurate information about media investment and paid media initiatives.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :
- BA or equivalent level of education in Marketing/Advertising, finance or accounting
- 3-5 years’ relevant experience as an agency manager or senior client-side overseeing media assets
- Strong knowledge of all media channels, especially Digital, and their role in the marketing communications ecosystem
- Experience of integrated communications and channel planning either as agency or client side
- Strong background in web conversion rate optimization, Display Advertising, Paid Search & SEO.
- Highly skilled with web analytics, attribution and other measurement systems
- Proven track-record of delivering sales campaigns and lead-generation.
- Passionate about the role of ecommerce in business transformation and establishing best practices
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial and accounting standards
- Proficiency in English is expected, additional language a plus.
