Project Description

We’re a high-performing, AWS-based, agile SaaS web application team that builds web and mobile applications for the commercial service contractors.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for uptime, performance, security, and stability of applications
• Support Engineering teams database needs for project initiatives
• Troubleshooting of issues with minimal supervision with the need to learn new technologies on a regular basis.
• Participate in after-hours on-call support
• Collaboration with other teams such as Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support and external partners such as AWS

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA/DBE
• Experience designing and implementing Disaster Recovery Plans for Databases
• Experience with Aurora DB is a plus
• Preferred: Experience with CI/CD Pipelines. GitHub Actions is preferred
• Preferred: Experience with Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation or Terraform
• Preferred: Experience with Postgres / AWS Redshift
• Preferred: Experience with NoSQL - DocumentDB (MongoDB) and DynamoDB
• Preferred: Experience with Amazon EKS
• Preferred: Experience with Linux system administration
• Experience working in an Agile framework
• Effective communication in English is a must have
