We are seeking a Co-Teacher / Learning Assistant to join our team in La Berёzka Campus.

About the Role

Co-Teachers / Learning Assistants have two main roles: supporting children’s learning, and supporting the Classroom Teacher. In Early Years Department, their duties include:

• Helping with classroom arrangements : preparations for the lessons, marking and record-keeping, helping with school events, trips and outings;
• Looking after children’s pastoral needs: including caring for children, playground time, reading time, meal time, naptime, clubs activities;

• Supporting Differentiated Learning: collaborating with the teacher to prepare and adapt teaching materials and instructions to meet the needs of students with different learning abilities and styles;

• Encouraging Positive Behavior: supporting and promoting positive classroom behavior through role modeling, reinforcement, and implementing agreed-upon behavior management strategies;

• Administering Assessments: assisting with informal assessments, quizzes, or observations to monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher with a support of Early Years Progress tracker;

• Communication with Parents: assisting in maintaining open communication with parents, including helping to prepare newsletters or posting on Class Dojo platform;

• Health and Safety Compliance: ensuring a safe learning environment by adhering to school policies and procedures, including emergency preparedness;

• Professional Development: engaging in training and continuous learning opportunities to improve skills and stay updated with educational practices;

• Cross-Curricular Support: assisting in integrating skills such as literacy, numeracy, or critical thinking into various subjects to enhance interdisciplinary learning.

Requirements:

• We are seeking a professional who has relevant international curriculum experience, with knowledge of Reggio Emilia or Montessori approach who can promote a well-organised learning environment and demonstrate a positive approach to students;

• Candidates should possess excellent IT skills and interest in embedding ICT into daily classroom experience. We are an Apple Mac-orientated school and utilise touchscreen smart boards in our classes. All candidates should be confident and enthusiastic users of ICT;

• Candidates should also illustrate a capacity to help students achieve their absolute best and a willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of our school;

• Candidates should have a teaching degree, combined with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of teaching; have proven experience in teaching the relevant age group; are in possession of an up-to-date police clearance certificate.
