We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to automate our QA processes. 8B is an international fintech startup developing a platform that facilitates global payments using local payment methods, such as regional e-wallets.
This is a truly complicated platform with a lot of exciting development and production challenges, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! =) Our direct clients are regulated Payment Service Providers, FinTech companies and Credit Institutions that enable cross-border payments and disbursements for their customers, such as merchants.
We provide these clients with the tools they need to process payments using local payment methods in various countries.
Who we need:
A skilled Automation Engineer who knows how to build robust and efficient test automation solutions and ready to take responsibility for the quality of the product.
Our expectations:
- Knowledge of OOP and functional programming principles
- Experience in developing automated testing frameworks from scratch for backends and APIs with Java/Kotlin
- Writing integration, functional and regression tests
- Experience integrating tests into continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Knowledge of SQL
It would be great if you have:
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS
- Experience in fintech
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Java/Kotlin
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to define test requirements and design test cases
- Participating in Scrum-events
- Investigate and resolve issues related to automation scripts and frameworks
- Continuously improve the test automation framework by integrating new tools and technologies as needed
- Monitor test results, identify trends, and provide insights into product quality
