Position Overview:

Residential Alarm Sales Agents are responsible for conducting outbound cold calls to company-provided leads, offering alarm activation and installation services exclusively over the phone. This fully remote, phone-based role involves managing the entire sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and maintaining follow-up communication. Strong proficiency in English is essential, as agents must effectively communicate complex information, build rapport, and drive sales confidently over the phone.

Agents will convert leads into sales, upsell additional products and services, and manage administrative tasks throughout the sales process. As the primary point of contact, agents will establish and maintain long-term customer relationships through regular follow-up, all conducted exclusively in English.

Candidates should excel in preparing quotes, developing Scopes of Work (SOW), and delivering professional sales presentations to ensure a seamless and clear customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cold Calling and Lead Conversion: Execute high-volume cold calls to company-provided leads, effectively communicating the company's value propositions with clarity and professionalism.
  • Full Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the entire sales process, from prospecting and needs assessment to generating quotes, presenting proposals, and closing deals. Ensure all communications, including follow-ups and nurturing leads, are handled proficiently in English.
  • Quoting and Proposal Creation: Conduct remote assessments, prepare detailed Scopes of Work (SOW), and provide clear, concise sales estimates.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver engaging, persuasive, and professional phone-based sales presentations to decision-makers, effectively articulating the company’s products and services.
  • Follow-Up and Client Retention: Maintain regular follow-ups with customers to keep them engaged throughout the sales funnel and build long-term relationships.
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional services or products, tailoring communications to meet customer needs.
  • Service Repair Proposals: Present service repair proposals based on preventive maintenance plans and testing reports, demonstrating in-depth product knowledge.
  • Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Track all sales activities, customer interactions, and revenue forecasts with precision and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in high-volume, phone-based sales in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated success in managing the full sales cycle through cold calling and closing deals.
  • Language Proficiency: Native-level proficiency in English is essential for clear communication, effective sales presentations, and managing client relationships.

Technical and Industry Expertise:

  • Familiarity with fire alarms, life-safety systems, intrusion alarms, access control, video surveillance, and other low-voltage systems.
  • Knowledge of installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of these systems.
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly and effectively over the phone.

Sales and Customer Relationship Management:

  • Consultative Selling: Proven ability to engage customers and provide tailored solutions while maintaining professional and clear communication throughout the sales process.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to nurture long-term relationships with customers through consistent follow-up and effective communication.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Skilled in negotiating, overcoming objections, and closing deals with confidence and clarity over the phone.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential for delivering presentations, writing proposals, and engaging with customers effectively.

Work Ethic and Additional Skills:

  • Self-motivated, driven, and capable of managing time effectively in a remote work setting.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) for managing sales activities, preparing proposals, and tracking interactions.
  • Availability for phone-based work from 9 AM to 5 PM PST.
